The UH HEALTH Research Institute advances a community-engaged research by rapidly disseminating scientific breakthroughs designed to mitigate and eliminate community-identified health challenges in Greater Houston and beyond.

Community Health Workers Initiative

The Community Health Workers Initiative at the UH Honors College aims to expand the role of community health workers to cultivate relationships within disadvantaged communities.

Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center

The Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center at Baylor College of Medicine promotes cancer awareness and prevention in the Houston area, with a focus on the medically underserved and racial/ethnic minority populations.

UH Household-Centered Care Program

The Household-Centered Care Program at the UH works with families from two communities with the poorest health outcomes in Harris County – the East End and Third Ward.
