Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Research Design (BERD)
About BERD
BERD is comprised of a multidisciplinary team of expert biostatisticians, epidemiologists, and methodologists. We assist investigators at every stage of the research process to produce results that are rigorous, meaningful, and easy to communicate.
Our Expertise
We have experience in a broad range of research settings and approaches, including clinical trials, quasi-experimental studies, and observational studies and implementation science related projects. We offer expertise in precision medicine, longitudinal studies, biomarker and genetic studies, and advanced trial design, including pragmatic, adaptive and dynamic treatment trials, cluster trials, and step-wedge designs.
We can support collaborative clinical and translational research efforts at all research phases, through assistance with study design, data collection and management, data analysis, interpretation of results, and reporting. The BERD can assess scientific and operational needs and connect investigators to appropriate resources and services.
Areas of Support
Study design
