New Research Support Services Available for Investigators

The Consortium for Translational and Precision Health is expanding its resources and services to better support investigators in navigating regulatory processes, optimizing study design and enhancing research outcomes. New offerings provide expertise in key areas of biostatistics, regulatory knowledge, pharmacokinetics and research ethics.

The new services include:

  • Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design: Support for study design, data collection and management, statistical analysis, interpretation of results, and reporting.

  • Regulatory Knowledge Support: Guidance on regulatory-enabling documents, Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions, and Investigational New Drug (IND) application design.

  • Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics (PK/PD): Assistance with study design, data analysis, PK modeling, simulation, and PK/PD correlation to optimize drug development and research findings.

  • Research Ethics Consultation: Expert support on participant selection and recruitment, research with special populations, informed consent processes, and ethical considerations in research studies.

These services are now available to faculty engaged in clinical and translational research at the Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Houston.
