CTPH's Dr. Bettina Beech was honored by the Interdisciplinary Association for Population Health Sciences (IAPHS) with the J. Michael McGinnis Leadership Excellence Award. The award recognizes outstanding accomplishments, commitment, values and contributions that advance population health science through science, translational activities and mentoring.  

The CTS Pilot Award Program is designed to propel clinical and translational science forward by tackling the key scientific, operational and administrative roadblocks in the research pipeline. The program provides $50,000 in support of a six-month project. Deadline for applications is October 30, 2024.

Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Houston have been awarded a $44.2 million Clinical and Translational Science Award Program grant from the National Center for Advancing Translational Research to create a regional hub to advance research and drive innovation in clinical translational science.
